Willow offers:
- Empathetic and supportive listening
- Help with understanding medical terms, your pathology report and other details of your diagnosis
- Support and information to help you with decision-making
- Information that will help you understand your diagnosis and help you to navigate the healthcare system
- Practical information such as where to get a wig or prosthesis; resources
to help manage financial concerns; your reconstruction options; how to tell
your children and loved ones about your diagnosis
We can connect you to someone who had a similar diagnosis or had to make similar decisions.
Willow's Peer Support Service is and remains 100% confidential.
Willow support staff and volunteers are survivors between 32-70 years of age, and the time since diagnosis ranges from 1-20 years.
