Famed Chef Anna Olson debuts new recipe in support of Willow's Eat to
the Beat
Toronto, ON, May 22, 2007 - Whether you're a culinary genius, don't know
your spatula from your whisk, or even 'take-out dependent', this new muffin
recipe created by Chef Anna Olson is a must try and of course 'must eat'!
"Even though I'm my own toughest critic, I have to say, these are my new favourite muffins!" exclaims Chef Anna Olson. "They're fluffy and tender, and you can just bask in their virtuous ingredients."
The muffins are sweetened only with honey, contain less oil than many muffin
recipes, whole wheat flour, and are packed with anti-oxidant enriched berries.
Created in honour of Willow Breast Cancer Support Canada's upcoming signature
fundraising event, Eat to the Beat, this 'Olson original' recipe is perfect
for one's summer and early fall baking repertoire.
"As Willow supports the thousands of women affected by breast cancer, I
wanted to create a recipe that would contain natural and healthy ingredients
and also be moist and tasty for those whose taste buds might have changed due
to chemotherapy or radiation treatment," continued Olson. Download

"We are thrilled Anna has shared her culinary talents with Willow through this recipe for Eat to the Beat guests and all who enjoy baking," adds Elaine Brown, Executive Director, Willow Breast Cancer Support Canada. "While Eat to the Beat is a Toronto-based event, the funds raised allow Willow to continue to help all Canadians affected by breast cancer by providing crucial emotional support and information to anyone touched by this devastating disease."
This year, Chef Anna Olson and 59 other famed female chefs will prepare original or signature bite-sized dishes for the annual Eat to the Beat gala. The event takes on Tuesday, September 25th, 2007, at Roy Thomson Hall. Tickets go on sale in June and cost $150 each. To purchase tickets visit www.willow.org.
