I was just diagnosed on Monday and don't understand how to read my pathology report.
Can anyone help me?

If you're not a doctor, how can you read a pathology report and who is expecting you to do this? You need to sit down with your doctor and let him/her explain what has happened and answer your questions. This is a confusing enough time, a scary time. Someone gave me a book called Living Through Breast Cancer by Carolyn M. Kaelin, she is a doctor who has lived thru this and has put together this book that is very informative. Her experience has been in the U.S. so that's quite different from here in Canada (thank goodness!) but the information itself is pretty basic to anywhere. There is a chapter on "understanding your pathology report'" but still, the best person to talk to is your doctor as he/she can answer your questions, which will lead to other questions. There is so much information available, you need to choose your sources. If you don't feel you can talk with your doctor, find a new one as you will need the support in the time ahead.
