I just recently found out that I am BRCA2 positive. I have already had a hysterectomy and am scheduled for oophorectomy within the next month. I am considering have prophilactive mastectomies done; but, I would like to talk to some ladies that have had this done or are in the same boat to see what their feelings are. I have a wonderful husband and family that are behind me 100% whatever I choose. I have 2 daughters, 2 stepdaughters, 2 grandchildren and 1 arriving anyday. I think its wonderful that nowadays there are tests that can be done for these awful diseases. Sometimes, you are given a choice to protect yourself as best as you can. I am just wondering if anybody else feels the same way as I do. I've already lost enough people and my younger sister was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago. Its hitting to close too home.
