About Us


Willow Breast Cancer Support Canada, founded in 1994, is a national not-for-profit organization that provides free support and information to anyone affected by breast cancer.

 

Vision:

Our vision is that all people living in Canada affected by breast cancer will have timely access to unbiased information and compassionate support services to help those living with breast cancer.  

 

Mission:

Our mission is to provide peer support and information to people affected by breast cancer, including those at high risk.

 

Values:

Willow respects the dignity and privacy of each individual and group.

Willow values quality and non-judgmental provision of timely service.

Willow's programs and services include:


Peer Support
: connects people with a trained breast cancer survivor who understands the impact of a diagnosis and offers information, emotional support and encouragement


Information Services
: shares personalized, current and credible information on all aspects of breast cancer


Community Support Program
: provides breast cancer survivors with the knowledge and tools necessary to start and sustain community-based support groups


In Our Genes Program
: provides information and support for anyone affected by hereditary breast or ovarian cancer


Patient Education Series
: up-to-date booklets on a variety of topics related to breast health and breast cancer


Translation
: free interpreter services for individuals wishing to speak in their language of choice during a support call
